How to uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant from Your Computer

Would you like to uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant and go back to version 3.4.5? Are you getting in trouble when you try to delete Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant from your computer? It is frustrated that you cannot remove it as the message telling that the program is running. You are unable to get rid of it. So, this little extension automatically installed itself into Firefox when I updated Visual Studio 2008 with SP1. The extension, Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant, describes itself as “Adds Click Once support and the ability to report installed .NET versions to the web server. “In order to make your pc work more comfortably, you should learn the uninstall guides as following.

Slimy Firefox Extension

As you can see the Uninstall button is disabled. I could waste several mouse-scrolls of space bitching about the slimy practice of installing bloat, but I’ll just get to the point.

1. Open Reedit (Start > Run > “reedit”)

2. Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Firefox\extensions”

(Or “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Firefox\extensions” for 64-bit versions of Windows

3. You’ll see “{20a82645-c095-46ed-80e3-08825760534b}”. Right click it and click Delete.

4. Restart Firefox.

5. Write an angst live journal entry about why “Microsoft “sucks.

Or

5. Get back to work.

A professional uninstall software can save your time and prevent you from messing up your PC. It will dig into the system to find out Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant corresponding registry one by one, and then delete them together and completely. Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant will be removed from your computer completely through this method. Compared with so much searching work, you just need to click your mouse several times to uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant from your PC by using Perfect Uninstaller.
